Just picture this: you walk out on the balcony and a gust of fresh air hits your face, then you are met with the sight of either an urban flurry or serene nature depending on where you live.
For many people, their balcony is not just another room. It is a refuge, their private paradise to unwind in or enjoy the outdoors.
I set out to redo my balcony as it was not so long ago into a place I want to be where my personal style can be expressed and provide me with some rest after a hard day’s work. However what began as an ordinary project rapidly developed into an adventurous endeavor that saw me exploring various concepts that could raise my forgotten corner onto a cherished haven.
One idea that amazed me most at this time would be gardening upwards whereby walls and rails would have lush greens cascading over them transforming such boring areas into lively oases.
The very thought of being surrounded by well-kept landscapes dotted with blooms which came naturally made me feel happy, like having brought part of Mother Earth right into my house.
The other beautiful concept was creating cozy sitting spaces using soft cushions and throws inviting guests to stay on for longer periods while enjoying the view. Sipping tea or reading a book while watching life go by from atop a sleek bistro set or nestled within some corner nook became ever more appealing to me during those moments filled with expectation and happiness.
While exploring the world of balcony makeovers further, I found numerous ideas catering for different styles and tastes.
Every ideal had its own special appeal in terms of aesthetics ranging from minimalistic designs featuring clean lines and modern furnishings to bohemian hideaways decorated with vibrant fabrics and eclectic accessories. They all tempted me to explore my artistic side again and think about new ways of recreating my outdoor space.
